COVID-19 Updates for SAT/PSAT/ACT
School Day SAT, PSAT 8/9 and PSAT – 10 Tests Cancelled
The College Board has cancelled the national testing for all school-day SAT, PSAT 8/9 and PSAT-10 exams for the Spring of 2020. If you have paid for these tests at the NDAA Business Office, the fees will be refunded to your NDAA tuition account.
ACT Postpones Spring Testing
Students that had planned on taking the National ACT testing on April 4, 2020, or the National Non-Saturday testing for April 5, 2020, have had that exam re-scheduled for June 13/14, 2020. The deadline to register for the June 13/14 administration is May 8, 2020. Students may register for the ACT at act student.org.
There is also a National Testing date for July 18, 2020. The registration deadline is June 19, 2020.
College Prep Genius SAT Class
NDAA offers a SAT Prep Class on our campus each year. The cost is approximately $249 per student, and $149 for siblings. The class may be taken by students in grades 6-12. Download the College Prep Genius here. For more information, contact the office at Office@ndaacademy.org
PSAT Test (2020-2021)
The PSAT test will be administered to all Sophomores and Juniors at NDAA on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Call the school office to inquire about other dates in 2019-2020. Juniors taking the PSAT in October are encouraged to take the SAT or ACT in the second semester.
Students should plan to take the SAT or ACT as early as possible during their junior (11th grade) year. It could be beneficial for some students that might want to take a SAT test during the spring of their sophomore (10th grade) year so they have a base line score to begin their studying and preparation for future testing. It is suggested that all students should have taken either the SAT or ACT by the end of their junior year. Seniors should be taking the SAT or ACT again early in their senior year if they want to increase their score. Students that are planning to apply to colleges or universities that have early admission deadlines should plan to take the SAT or ACT during their junior years so they meet fall deadlines.
