— Update: March 3, 2021–

NDAA is aware that Governor Abbott will remove the state-wide mask mandate effective March 10, 2021. At North Dallas Adventist Academy, we will continue to follow the CDC guidelines as discussions are held internally on how this might impact our school. As of now, we do not expect changes to our COVID policies before the end of the school year. However, we will keep parents, students and staff informed.

Update: July 20, 2020
The North Dallas Adventist Academy (NDAA) Administration Team has been working diligently to plan for a successful school year despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it has presented.

As of today, NDAA plans to begin school Monday, August 17, 2020, for both in-person classroom instruction and fully online students. Whether you choose fully in person or fully online, your student will be doing what’s called “synchronous” learning. All students will participate in the instruction and class activities at the same time in real time, regardless of their location. Families will be given a grace period during the first 2 weeks of each quarter, if they would like their student to switch to the other method. The student would then stay with that method for the remainder of the quarter. We feel this allows for flexibility for families, while also ensuring the students will be able to continue with their learning.  A form will be sent at a later date so you can indicate your preference before the start of school.

We have prepared the “NDAA COVID-19 Response Plan for the 2020-2021 Year. (click to download)” This document outlines how we are planning to handle screening for and mitigation of the COVID-19 virus on campus. The procedures detailed in this COVID Response Plan are based on the public health situation as it is understood presently. Changes to the public health situation would possibly lead to changes and alternate plans. We will continually monitor updates and follow guidance from the Texas Conference, the State of Texas, local government(s), and the CDC.
